September 15, 2020 COVID-19 Update
15 September 2020To our Residents, Family and Staff,
With cooler fall temperatures approaching, the Manitoba government has announced plans to support continued social visits for our Personal Care Home Residents. As announced publicly September 15, 2020, Manitobans living in personal care homes will be able to visit with their loved ones into the winter months with the help of all-season, outdoor shelters commissioned by the provincial government. Each Personal Care Home has been consulted on preference for an indoor or outdoor visitation room and options are being evaluated based on ability to meet set safety criteria within each space. Riverview Health Centre has proposed consideration for visits to continue in a designated indoor space, and we are awaiting confirmation. In the meantime, outdoor visits will proceed weather permitting, and will be moved indoors into the spaces currently being used as needed. Further updates to follow.
