Personal Care Home Update
We are pleased to report our covid-19 status remains stable on our PCH units at Riverview Health Centre.
We continue to closely monitor all of our residents for symptoms of covid-19. We are testing any residents that develop symptoms. Should your loved one’s condition change and they require testing, you will be notified immediately. To date, we have had no residents test positive for covid-19.
We are happy to welcome back some of our staff who hadbeen sick with covid-19 and were isolating at home. Pleasebe assured that if they have been cleared to return, they are no longer contagious and have been deemed safe to return to work by Occupational Health. We are pleased to report there have been no new staff covid-19 cases identified this week.
To continue to protect our residents, visitation remains suspended on all Personal Care Home units (CD, AB and 3W units), with the exception of end of life situations. Pending no new staff cases, our PCH outbreak will be declared over on December 4, 2020.
Two outdoor visitation shelters have arrived on the grounds of Riverview Health Centre. We are proceeding with installation and hope to have the spaces ready for use in December. We look forward to welcoming friends and family back to visit our Residents in these visitation shelters once provincial restrictions are lifted.
There have been no new reported staff or patient cases on our program/hospital side of Riverview Health Centre.
All patients at Riverview Health Centre are monitored for symptoms of covid-19. We will test any patients that develop symptoms. Should your loved one’s condition change and they require testing, you will be notified immediately.
We will continue to provide you with timely information during this difficult time. If you have questions specific to your loved one’s health condition, please contact the nursing staff on the unit.
Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support.
