Personal Care Home Update
We are pleased to report our covid-19 status remains stable on our PCH units at Riverview Health Centre. There have been no new reported staff cases. To date, we have had no residents test positive for covid-19.
To continue to protect our Residents, visitation remains suspended on all Personal Care Home units (CD, AB and 3W units), with the exception of end of life situations. Pending no new staff cases, our PCH outbreak will be declared over on December 4, 2020.
Residents on outbreak units (where positive staff previously worked), remain in isolation. We are closely monitoring our Residents for symptoms, and will continue to test for covid-19 should any Residents develop symptoms. All communal activities have been suspended, including group recreation and group meals. Residents are provided care and assisted with their meals in their rooms. Staffing levels have been enhanced to support care. All staff wear enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) while providing care.
There have been no new reported staff or patient cases on our program/hospital side of Riverview Health Centre.
We will continue to provide you with timely information during this difficult time. If you have questions specific to your loved one’s health condition, please contact the nursing staff on the unit.
Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support.
