Personal Care Home Update
Last week we had one Personal Care Home program staff member test positive for COVID-19. We are pleased to report there have been no new COVID-19 staff cases announced. Residents on the impacted Personal Care Home unit were tested for COVID-19 on February 12th and all test results have come back negative. As a precautionary measure, unit Nurses will continue to perform symptom and temperature checks twice each day for these Residents and we will continue to actively screen employees at the start of each shift. On all other Personal Care Home units, regular close monitoring of Residents is ongoing and we will test for COVID-19 should anyone develop symptoms.
RHC Residents will receive the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Friday, February 19th.
There have been no new reported staff or patient cases on our program/hospital side of Riverview Health Centre. We continue to closely monitor our patients, and will test for COVID-19 should any patients develop symptoms.
Regular updates will continue to be provided on this web page and our covid-19 phone line. If you have questions specific to your loved one’s health condition, please contact the nursing staff on the unit.
Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support.
