December 6, 2021 COVID-19 Update

6 December 2021

December 6, 2021

Dear Families,

Updates:

We continue to have no cases of COVID-19 in our resident or patient populations, and no cases in our staff.

Our gastrointestinal (GI) outbreak on CD3, one of our PCH units, was declared over Dec. 2nd

We do have one positive case of RSV (a respiratory virus) on CD4, one of our PCH units.  At this time, this is not considered an outbreak because there is just the one case.  The resident is on isolation precautions, and all residents on the unit are being monitored closely.  Enhanced cleaning is occurring on the unit, and further measures will be put into place if needed.

We continue to have active cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba, so we all must remain vigilant with hand hygiene, maintaining physical distancing, wearing of PPE as provided (both the mask and eye shield throughout your visit) and staying away when even slightly ill.
