Personal Care Home Update
We are pleased to report there have been no new positive COVID-19 staff cases announced over the past week. To date, we have had no RHC residents test positive for COVID-19. We continue to closely monitor our residents, and will test for COVID-19 should anyone develop symptoms. Pending no new staff or resident cases, our PCH Outbreak will be declared over in approximately two weeks.
There have been no new reported staff or patient COVID cases on our program/hospital side of Riverview Health Centre. We continue to closely monitor our patients, and will test for COVID-19 should anyone develop symptoms.
Enjoying the Outdoors
With warm spring weather just around the corner, many of our patients and residents have expressed interest in visiting outdoors. We are happy to support this activity for units that are free from outbreaks. In order to keep our patients, residents and RHC staff safe, we will request the following safety measures be adhered to:
- Patients/residents may visit with their essential care partner or designated family caregiver outside on RHC grounds, or with up to a maximum of 2 general visitors
- Patients/residents and visitors must wear masks for the duration of the visit and remain physically distanced
- Use of hand sanitizer will be required when exiting and entering the building
- Large group gatherings on RHC grounds will not be permitted
In addition, visitation appointments for our PCH Residents within our Outdoor pods can be booked at 204-478-6208.
Regular updates will continue to be provided on this web page and through our COVID-19 phone line (204-478-6894). If you have questions specific to your loved one’s health condition, please contact the nursing staff on the unit.
We thank you once again for your ongoing support and kind words of encouragement.
Wishing our RHC Community including our patients, residents and their families a Happy Spring!
