Personal Care Home Update

We are pleased to report there have been no new positive COVID-19 staff cases announced over the past week.  To date, we have had no RHC residents test positive for COVID-19.   We continue to closely monitor our residents, and will test for COVID-19 should anyone develop symptoms.  Pending no new staff or resident cases, our PCH Outbreak will be declared over next week.

Program/Hospital Update

There have been no new reported staff or patient COVIDcases on our program/hospital side of Riverview Health Centre.  We continue to closely monitor our patients, and will test for COVID-19 should anyone develop symptoms.

Enjoying the Outdoors

Our patients, residents and families have been enjoying the RHC grounds. In order to keep our patients, residents and RHC staff safe, we will request the following safety measures be adhered to:• Patients/residents may visit with their essential care partner or designated family caregiver outside on RHC grounds and/or with up to a maximum of 2 general visitors• The designated family caregiver/essential care partnerwill be responsible for coordinating visits with general visitors on the grounds.  This will include picking up the patient/resident on their home unit, and returning the patient/resident to their unit at the end of the visit.• All visitors (general, designated family caregivervisitors, and essential care partners) must be screened at the main entrance and will be provided with a medical mask that must be worn for the duration of the outdoor visit.• Physical distancing must be maintained throughout the visit.• Use of hand sanitizer will be required by patients,residents and visitors when exiting and entering the building.• Large group gatherings on RHC grounds will not be permitted.

In addition, visitation appointments for our PCH and LTC (2E/2W) Residents within our Outdoor pods can be booked at 204-478-6208.

Visitors with booked appointments are asked to present directly to the outdoor structure at the time of the appointment.  Screening will occur at the structure upon entry.  Parking is available in the main parking lot for Pod A (ACE unit) visits, and adjacent to Pod B for general PCH and LTC visits.
